The benefits of a green economy are endless. With an ever-expanding industry we can create millions of new jobs across multiple sectors, becoming a huge asset to the global economy.
Almost every day entrepreneurs are coming up with new exciting innovations that help combat the fight against climate change, and assist in creating a sustainable living world for all.
Circular Economy - Our path to a stable future
What is Circular Economy? Circular economy is our answer to sustainable materials production.
Through creating pure circularity, we can ensure a zero waste world by repurposing everything for another life. This cradle to cradle production line ensures each and every product can be made into something else, whether it be a new version of it's old identity, or a completely new object.
This closed loop system is based on endless recycling, everything old being repurposed into something new. Every material object will be given a new life. This ensures no items go into landfill. Better for you, better for the planet.
Our old ways of liner production; throwing items into landfill at the end of it's single use, no longer has a place in our world. Waste is a design flaw devised by our ancestors. Together we can create a new design, where everything is given new life.
Knowledge is power, but only if that knowledge is converted into action.
Our World - Our Future
Every dollar you spend is a vote for the world you want to live in the future. It has never been more important to spend wisely.
By making sustainable economic decisions today, you can help preserve this world for future generations. Our children and grandchildren need a healthy planet they can live on.
The benefits of educating our children in the classroom about sustainable living is becoming more and more important. Our future leaders having the needed knowledge at an early age will benefit everyone.
The UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide the framework for our future. With this framework already in place, it is easy for every country to follow.
By working together to achieve these goals, we will become a better society, a better peoples, a better world.
Net Zero - What it is and why we need it
Net Zero is a term heard more and more often, but what does it mean? What's the point of Net Zero and how can businesses reach Net Zero?
Achieving Net Zero emissions means generating no more greenhouse gases than the Earth can remove naturally — that's the only way to be sure we aren't adding to the problem.
Net Zero refers to the point when the amount of carbon being removed from the atmosphere equals the amount of carbon being emitted. Achieving Net Zero is important. The goal is to reach Net Zero by 2030 to limit warming to 1.5 degrees, or to stay within 2 degrees.
The research shows that the transition to a net-zero economy will create a more sustainable and healthier economy, in which businesses can thrive, as well as benefitting wider society.
The world is changing, increasingly businesses are striving to be as sustainable as possible and as energy efficient as possible. Net Zero or Net Positive is the goal. It is not the end but the beginning. It is a means to an end.
The Benefits of Recycling
The benefits of recycling are many and diverse. And they are not all in the environmental sectors. Creating a cleaner world to live in, is just the beginning.
The benefits of recycling effect all areas:
- The economic benefits of recycling are huge! By creating global recycling infrastructure, we can ensure millions of jobs across the world. And more people in jobs, means stronger local communities.
Long term economics is a factor to consider as well. By ensuring we recycle everything we can in this decade, we will be saving billions of dollars in the future.
If left unchecked, waste littering our planet will grow to exponential amounts that we will never be able to control. By tackling the issue now, we can be sure this uncontrolled future does not happen.
- The environmental benefits of recycling are massive! Clean streets and pristine forests and waterways are just the beginning.
By recycling every last bit of material we can, we can save our streets, neighbourhoods, parks, waterways, oceans, and forests from needless waste and pollution. Thereby protection our worlds natural biodiversity, without which the world would be a very poorer place.
All the worlds plants and animals are connected by unseen ecosystems, that help keep our networks moving and thriving. Every piece of waste that litters the worlds floor, is a barrier in this ecosystem. By recycling that little piece of rubbish you see on the path, you are helping save your planets future.
Recycling and repurposing used items additionally prevents the use of raw materials. Unsustainably sourced raw materials are destructive to our natural landscapes. By using recycled materials instead, you are helping conserve our natural resources, and saving our forests.
- By recycling that piece of plastic today, you are giving it a new life tomorrow. Unsustainably sourced new materials are destructive to our planet, by using recycled materials you are ensuring that everything gets a new life. The new technologies coming into production lines today are assisting us in creating a circular economy, ensuring that materials are separated into easily recyclable pieces.
By upcycling that old product into a new item, you are keeping it out of landfill and helping the planet.
Not all items have to be recycled into new products, most existing household items can have a new purpose before having to be broken down and remade. For example, your old bamboo toothbrush can now be used to clean those hard-to-reach corners, or carefully brush away the dust on those prized ornaments. That old mug with the broken handle can now be used as a desk tidy, holding all your pens. The possibilities are endless, it's up to you to get creative!
Byproducts are often considered as waste, this is simply just not true. Often the creation of new products does result in some byproduct, but even the smallest little pieces can be given a new life. That food waste at the end of a meal can be turned into compost to help grow the new crop of food. Those chemicals and steams that come from used machinery processes, can be captured and turned into all sorts of useful things. Every little bit counts, everything will have a new life.
Circular Economy is not just in our future. It is now!
“Pollution is a sign of inefficient resource use.”
By recycling everything you can today, you are doing your part in changing the world.
Did you know! Almost everything can be recycled
Even the ones most people consider hard; timber, coffee pods, ceramics, electrical wiring, solar panels, furniture, windows, CD's & DVD’s, string, white goods, toys, shoes, food, plants, pens, shop fittings, sunglasses, books, cutlery, glass, clocks, computers, balloons, concrete, textiles, light fittings, bags, bottles, garden equipment, shelving units, cars, phones, office supplies, shipping pallets, blister packs, stationary, and more!
The possibilities are endless!
Eco-Friendly Products In Society Today
The world is a flourish with eco-friendly products today. But what is really out there, and which products should you buy?
The range of single use alternatives products is huge! The market is growing daily with new entrepreneurs coming up with innovations daily. Everything from basic kitchen essentials, to circular fashion, to pet products, to beauty and cosmetics, to office supplies, to wholesale materials, and more. Every day entrepreneurs come up with amazing new designs that present a solution to another single use item. The list is always growing.
Buy once - buy well. The economic value of single use alternative products is huge. By paying slightly more once off in the beginning, you now have a product that will last for many years to come. Saving you time and money in the future. The age of single use items is over. By using any single use alternative product, you are helping save the planet from discarded waste and needless pollution.
Your future self will thank you.
Sustainability - Better for you, better for the planet
Sustainability is essential to our wellbeing, and encompasses everything across the globe. But it all starts with you!
The importance of global sustainability cannot be understated. By ensuring environmental preservation and conservation, we can be comforted by the fact that we will be living in a clean, sustainable world.
When we manufacture, create, or consume something, we take the raw materials from the earth and environment. For us to have a continued supply of raw materials, food, trees / woodlands, etc, we need to make sure that we do not take too much from the environment and what we take needs to be replaced / regrown or in some way guaranteed that there will always be these materials to be available, not only our use but other organisms, like trees, animals, insects, and plants.
For example, when we catch fish to eat, we need to make sure there is enough breeding stock remaining to replenish the fish population and also make sure that their breeding grounds, such as seagrass regions, are available for the young to grow.
This is true sustainability.
Join us in creating a sustainable planet, and you can change the world for the better.
